of the Afriterra.org online map images and how our material
applies to researchers and educators.
- Harvard University Map Collection
Harvard
University is home to 400,000 maps in a collection noted
to be the oldest in America. Their collection is on display at the Harvard Pusey Map Library, and they are home to the Boston Map Society.
The Digital Imaging Group at Harvard are producing ultra-high-resolution
digital images of the Afriterra maps as part of our ongoing digitization project.

The mission of the International
Cartographic Association is to promote the discipline and
profession of cartography in an international context.
- Suffolk
University - Collection of African American Literature
The
Collection of African American Literature is a collaborative
effort between Suffolk University Sawyer Library, the Museum of Afro-American
History, and the National Park Service's Boston African American
National Historic Site . It was founded in 1971 by Dr. Edward
Clark, professor emeritus of English at Suffolk University.
Suffolk University has provided funding and technical services in support of our the Afriterra Digital Initiative, the first product of which can be seen in our on-line Catalog.
